QUEST 6: JAVA CODING – MASTER MINECRAFT MODDING!

Description: Minecraft is an amazing game that lets you build your own world, block by block! But did you know that under the hood, Minecraft is powered by a programming language called Java? Java is like the secret sauce that makes Minecraft work its magic. When kids play Minecraft® Java Edition., they are actually running a Java program! Pretty cool, right? By learning how Minecraft uses Java code, they can start to understand the basics of one of the most important programming languages in the world. As students level up their Java skills, they’ll be able to make their own custom blocks, tools, and even entire mods to use in Minecraft’s infinite sandbox world. Imagine being able to craft any item they want or build structures that do incredible things – with Java, the only limit is your imagination! Learning Java through Minecraft is the perfect way to jumpstart their journey into the exciting world of programming and game development. Who knows, maybe one day they will create the next big hit game!

Details:

• 12 Session Course: This Quest offers a total of (12) 1 hour sessions that can be scheduled at your convenience Monday through Friday 3-6PM or Saturday 10am-1pm.
• Instructor led and assisted course, onsite
• Dive deeper into Minecraft and create their very own custom in game items
• Creativity: Students will create their own custom tools, weapons, enemies and more
• Coding: Students will use Java coding to create some of their mods
• Collaboration: Mentors and the student will discuss mods, techniques and implementations of mods
